Samsung G800 5 MP Available November

Samsung G800 camera phone, which is the world’s first 5MP camera phone with 3x optical zoom will be available in November. The high resolution 5 Megapixel Samsung G800 is an enhanced version of the G600.

On the backside the Samsung G800 looks like a normal digital camera featuring a sliding lens cover. Other camera features of the Samsung G800 include Xenon flash, panorama shots, multi shots, and macro shots, video editing functions and video sharing options to upload images and videos to the net.

The Samsung G800 slider features 3G/HSDPA connectivity and 2.4 inch screen. Measurements of the G800 are 101x51x19mm, while on-board memory is 110MB plus the expected microSD card slot. Also included are of course Bluetooth and USB — we’re assuming both are 2.0 spec, and hopefully the the former will support stereo headsets. G800 also provides a tool for sharing images and videos. Additionally, the Samsung G800 offers video editing functions so that people can easily cut, paste and edit their own films. A mobile blogging feature helps users to upload their favorite content. Supporting HSDPA, the G800 uploads photos or videos rapidly.

Samsung G800 will be available in European countries from November 2007, and retail for approximately $500.
