Bluetooth SIG - Best of CES 2008 Winners. 48 new Bluetooth products were submitted in categories focusing on what consumers can do with the technology - talk on a headset, input information, listen to music, transfer information, or use in an industrial or other vertical environment. Five category winners and one overall winner were unveiled at the Bluetooth SIG’s member appreciation party, celebrating ten years of Bluetooth technology, the evening of Tuesday, January 8, at Tao in the Venetian hotel.

+ Best Headset - Plantronics Voyager 855 Bluetooth Stereo Headset (finalist: Motorola MotoPURE H12)
+ Best Input - Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5500 Revolution Keyboard (finalist: Newton Peripherals MoGo Mouse X54 Pro)
+ Best Music - Parrot DS1120 Bluetooth Speakers (finalist: Samsung P2 Widescreen Music Player; honorable mention Motorola RAZR2 V9)
+ Best Transfer - Motorola T815 (finalist: Samsung SGH-i617 Blackjack II)
+ Best Vertical Industry - Ford SYNC, powered by Microsoft Auto (finalist: Baracoda ScanWear; honorable mention Motorola MotoROKR T505)

and, Honorable Mention - Motorola, RAZR2 V9 Mobile Phone (finalist: MotoROKR T505 Portable Car Speakerphone).

Winners of the contest receive national exposure for their winning products as part of an in-studio broadcast tour to top 20 media markets across the country, paid for by the Bluetooth SIG. All finalists will be featured in the spring issue of SIGnature, the Bluetooth SIG print and online magazine, and highlighted at the ShowStoppers event and throughout CES 2008.
