W380 Sony Ericsson Revealed

Sony Ericsson revealed a new addition to their Walkman phone family, the W380. W380 is a GSM/EDGE/GPRS 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900 clamshell phone.

Sony Ericsson W380 is a tri-band, Walkman® clamshell-style phone featuring the new Gesture control functionality providing quick and easy control of the phone without having to touch it – mute a call or snooze the alarm by sweeping a hand across the camera. The exterior contains a hidden Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) external display that illuminates to show music track, call or message information.

In addition to offering the Walkman® player 2.0 and TrackID™ track recognition, the W380 includes a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Memory Stick Micro™ removable storage, HTML browser, RSS feed support and 3D gaming with both JSR 184 and Mascot Capsule version 3.

This new Walkman clamshell is featuring a 1.9" 262k color TFT (176 x 220 pixels) internal display, an OLED external screen (36 x 128 pixels), a 1.3 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, Walkman player, 14 MB of memory, card slot, 512MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) card included in the box.

W380 Walkman® phone comes complete with Media Manager PC software that lets you easily transfer your music, photos and videos between your computer and phone. Simply point, click and drag your music files from your computer to your phone – the software automatically converts your music to the right format.

Store hours of your favourite music (up to 271 songs*) on the W380’s 512 MB Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™) or tune in to your favourite FM radio station. The W380 comes equipped with an FM radio with RDS and stereo Bluetooth with A2DP.

W380 will be available in selected markets during Q1 2008.
